2Note that these programs are "self-supporting". Per Florida Board of Governor Regulations 8.002, the term "self-supporting" describes a budgetary model and does not impact student financial aid eligibility. Here is the link to the regulation Regulation 8.002

      3. Is financial aid available for certificate students?

No, financial aid is only available to degree-seeking students. We suggest talking to your employer about the possibility of continuing education funding.

      4. Do students have to log in at specific times of the day?

In general, coursework is completed asynchronously. However, many professors host weekly live discussion groups (usually on a voluntary basis).

      5. Is there a login minimum that students need to reach each week?

The number of login attempts is not measured, but professors tend to structure the coursework to ensure students must log in multiple times each week. For example, it may be structured in such a way that students must log in one day for content, again to complete the work, and again to complete a quiz. On average, students log in 2-3 per week.

      6. What is the lecture format?

Video lectures are included in courses. These lectures are high-quality videos filmed in a studio. Each video lecture is 20-25 minutes.

      7. Do courses need to be completed in a certain order?

The order of courses will depend on the semester you start the program. You will work with Nicole Sloan, the Distance Education Coordinator to determine your courses.

      8. How quickly can students expect faculty members to reply to questions?

      Typically, within 24 hours.
