About Family, Youth and Community Sciences
Welcome to the UF/IFAS Department of Family, Youth and Community Sciences (FYCS). We're a community of scholars, professionals, and students dedicated to improving the lives of individuals, families, and communities through research, education, and outreach.
We offer undergraduate and graduate degree programs that prioritize student success and foster a culture of excellence. With a focus on youth and family development, community engagement, nonprofit management, and personal and family financial well-being, our programs provide students with a solid foundation for a rewarding professional career.
Our faculty are experts in their fields, and our research is guided by a commitment to improving the human condition. Through our outreach efforts, we provide research-based information and education to individuals, families, and communities across the state.
