Assistant Instructional Professor, Undergraduate Practicum Coordinator
Biography
Dr. Emily Johnson is an Instructional Assistant Professor and the Practicum Coordinator for the Department of Family, Youth and Community Sciences (FYCS) at the University of Florida. Dr. Johnson has taught a wide array of undergraduate courses while also serving as an academic advisor since 2018. She also teaches the graduate capstone course. Recognized for her commitment and service to student success, Dr. Johnson has received the Mort Wolfson Faculty Service Award and has been nominated for the CALS Faculty Advising and Mentoring Award.
Prior to joining FYCS in 2018, Dr. Johnson served as a lecturer for the Department of Health Education and Behavior at the University of Florida and the Mental Health Coordinator for the Division of Student Affairs at the University of Idaho (UI) in Moscow, Idaho.
