EMERGING PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

FYC 4941 is a core requirement for the Family, Youth and Community Sciences (FYCS) major and the Nonprofit Organizational Leadership minor. This for-credit, graded experience requires students to earn 240 hours within a professional environment, applying the knowledge and skills gained through coursework. This course provides students with hands-on experience in their chosen profession and is meant to be a time of service and innovation to the supervising agency, as well as a significant learning opportunity for the student.

Students should complete FYC 4941 in their senior year. Students planning to enroll in FYC 4941 must submit a practicum proposal packet by the deadline listed below.
