As a team, review your materials submitted for Assignment 1 - the Index - before trying to start your work on Assignment 2. Your task during this class session is to determine where the use of an interview would be likely to improve your ability to reach conclusions for the topics you selected as a focus for the index. For example, you may have found it very difficult to develop items that would capture the full range of responses for a topic. An interview might provide much more accurate and in-depth information. Interviews are intensive for the researcher and for the respondent. 45 minutes is, in my view, an absolute maximum for an interview. 30 minutes is much better. Therefore selecting the focus of the interview is very important. You probably can cover two topics in some depth. You might even be able to cover three topics. You need to make this decision now so that you can start to work on developing objectives and get to work on specific items.
