Objectives

After completing this class you will be able to:

  • Compare and contrast global systems theory and network theory as explanations of the global economic crisis;
  • Examine and evaluate the meaning of community from these two theoretical perspectives; and
  • Assess how these two perspectives can be used to address the needs, issues and problems that face communities in a global economic and social order.
