Rita Law-McCumber
Rita is a Family and Consumer Sciences Extension Agent II with the
University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences in
Seminole County .
She received a B.S. in Home Economics Education from Florida State
University in Tallahassee , Florida in 1970 and an M.S. in Administration
of Vocational Education from the University of Central Florida in Orlando
, Florida in 1987.
She is a Registered ServSafe® Instructor with the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation.
Rita joined the extension faculty at the University of Florida in 2000. Prior to joining the faculty of the University of Florida , she taught high school in Seminole and Orange Counties for 13 years and was an adjunct instructor at Seminole Community College for 10 years.
In Seminole County Rita has Nutrition, Food Safety and Health (70%) and 4-H (30%) responsibilities. As service to the university, she is an active member of the Nutrition, Food Safety and Health Focus Team.
Rita has been a member of Florida Extension Association Family and Consumer Sciences since 2000 and has actively served as Nominating Chair and District Director as well as serving on several committees. She is currently FEAFCS Youth committee chair.
