Dr. Kelly Moore’s primary responsibilities in the department include teaching and advising. She teaches undergraduate courses in community perspectives and research methods. Kelly is also a member of the Diversity Committee.
Kelly has been part of the FYCS family since she was an undergraduate in the department. She completed her B.S. and M.S. degrees in FYCS and a Ph.D. in the School of Natural Resources and Environment, also at UF. Her dissertation research focused on how eating behaviors impact the way individuals evaluate themselves and others. Prior to her position as a Lecturer, Kelly was the Program Assistant for the Florida Sustainable Agriculture Research & Education Program.
Kelly also currently engages in research in Haiti with IFAS Global. The research focuses on increasing adoption of agricultural technologies that will improve food security in the region. Her role on the project includes developing research instruments and analyzing data.
