Profile
Dr. Baugh has a 70% teaching appointment and a 30% Extension appointment. She teaches undergraduate classes on various areas of family life, such as parenting, divorce, family life cycle, youth development, risk and resilience, and diversity. Trained in family life education and marriage and family therapy, she has experience with many contemporary family problems and mental health issues. She also has vast clinical experience with individuals, students, couples and families. Additionally, one of Dr. Baugh’s main concerns is valuing the importance and impact of the teacher/student relationship.
Her primary research interest is exploring the relationship(s) between ethnic identity and risk for eating disorders among young women. She is also interested in effective pre-marital education and enrichment programs.
