FYCS Graduate Students

The FYCS graduate program is an interdisciplinary applied social science program that prepares students for advanced social science degrees (e.g., Ph.D.,), as well as careers in such areas as family and youth services, Extension and community-based education, community development and sustainability, nonprofit management, program planning and evaluation, and social policy. Graduates can prepare for advanced degrees by completing a thesis with graduate faculty mentors who have research specialties in:

  • Youth Development and Risk-Prevention
  • Evaluation Research
  • Personal and Family Financial Management
  • Housing and Community Development
  • Nonprofit Management and Leadership
  • Nutrition and Health
